Pharailde Thorrez-Maes Lumen Christi Scholarship Fund
Pharailde and Victor moved to the United States shortly after they were married. In 1926, Victor formed Thorrez & Maes Manufacturing Company (along with Camiel and Henry Thorrez.) In 1948, the company, which employed over 250 workers, reorganized as C. Thorrez Industries, which still operates today in Jackson.
Pharailde practiced a strong Catholic faith and a solid work ethic throughout her life. Her investments in life allowed her grandchildren to go to college.
