Melvin H., Doris A., and Fovette E. Dush Gold Key Scholarship

Melvin Dush graduated from Hillsdale High School and worked at Kellogg Company for 46 years, spending 20 of those as a visitor guide. When he retired in 1967, he was a supervisor of the stores control department. Melvin enjoyed gardening, being in the outdoors, and was an avid reader.

Doris Dush worked at the Kellogg Company when she first married Melvin, and became a full time homemaker after Fovette was born. She was in a garden and bridge club for 50 years.

Fovette Dush was a life=long resident of Battle Creek, graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1937 and attending Argubright Business College. Fovette was a Red Cross Gray Lady during World War II, worked at the Kellogg Company for 15 years, and retired from the Department of Defense Logistics Center in Battle Creek

Melvin was very interested in education and thought all children should have a chance at learning,
