Lindsay B. Draime received his associate’s degree in business administration from KCC in 1972, his Bachelors of Business degree in marketing and finance/business law minors from WMU in 1973, and his Master of Arts degree teaching in community college business subjects in 1979; When he graduated from Pennfield High School, he would have told you he was not planning to go to college.
While working on all of his degrees, Lindsay also worked at the Battle Creek Enquirer, Bill Knapp’s Restaurant and the Purchasing Department for Calhoun County. As he worked on his degrees, he learned he had a knack for numbers. In 1990 he started a tax and financial consulting business, which he did for 25 years. Over his thirty years at KCC, Lindsay taught every business course (except accounting and statistics).
Impact
During his time at KCC, he saw a lot of students struggling. He established these scholarships to give students an opportunity to fulfill their educational dream by going to college with less financial burden.
